WE SUPPLY FIREWOOD TO PRIVATE HOMES AND PUBS
We cut firewood to the following lengths: 20*-25-33-40 and 50cm
Standard size is 25cm (10″)
*Logs cut to 20cm carry an additional charge of £10 as our processing equipment has to be re-set and it is more time consuming to process this shorter length.
Please note: all our logs are hard wood and Kindling is either soft wood or chestnut.
We sell “Flamers” firelighters made in England from 100% FSC certified wood, odourless and clean – easy to light. ** firelighters only delivered with logs **.
For those of you who still have primordial tendancies and like to swing an axe we can supply logs in the round so you can enjoy splitting these yourself, contact us to discuss.
PROVENANCE
All of our wood is cut from local sustainably managed woodlands under an agreed management plan with the Forestry Commission, mostly within 5 miles of our yard in Chiddingfold.
We fell in the winter months when the sap is down then extract the wood in the spring back to our yard in Chiddingfold, here it is split into billets and allowed to season outside with a top covering to keep rain off but allows air to move through the stack to aid drying.
When we are happy that these billets are well seasoned we process them into logs and dry store in our barns ready for dispatch.
SEASONING
It is important to burn seasoned logs for the following reasons:
- Dry logs burn better and produce more heat
- Wet unseasoned logs produce soot and tars in your chimney which can catch fire
- Wet unseasoned logs smoulder and heat is used tring to dry them- not warming you
- Well seasoned logs save you money
- A bright blaze looks and feels great!

We offer FREE deliver from our yard in Chiddingfold, Surrey to Godalming areas, also to West Sussex and Hampshire.

MOISTURE
We check a sample of logs prior to delivery to ensure that there is less than 20% moisture and issue an information sheet about your logs.
